Alsace International
Alsace International was created as an initiative lead by the Alsace Region, the Bas-Rhin and the Haut-Rhin districts, with the aim of pooling their resources in matters of economic action at international scale.
Missions undertaken by Alsace International are defined according to three main lines:
Prospecting foreign businesses
Alsace International prospects international businesses to encourage them to establish new activities in Alsace.
International development of Alsatian economic players
Alsace International offers a supporting system to Alsatian economic players to increase their activity internationally. It also allows them to access international and European public markets.
Promoting Alsace and its competencies on a worldwide scale
In particular, Alsace International takes part in the international promotion of activities undertaken by Alsatian competitivity centres and centres of excellence (Alsace BioValley, Vehicles of the Future, Grand Est Natural Fibres, Rhenaphotonics, Iconoval, Renewable Energies, …)
Services/products offered to players involved in the cluster
a. Regional players:
Alsace International offers international actions to regional players (labs and companies). Namely :
- Joined participation in international trade fairs. This service is offered in partnership with the Association for the development of the life science and healthcare sectors in Alsace. It allows businesses/labs to benefit from space at a stall held in common and from various promotion activities on the basis of shared costs.
- Organisation of Road Shows promoting business in the area. Alsace International can organise, on behalf of one or several businesses, a programme of targeted meetings.
- Organisation, with its international network, of local information meetings.
b. Players outside the region
lsace International offers the following to companies/labs/organisations involved in life science based abroad:
- Establishment: support is given to businesses willing to get established in Alsace. Depending on the way the project is developing, Alsace International collaborates with its local partners.
- Partnerships: in cases where companies are looking for partners, local businesses are introduced to each others.
