The cluster's main themes
Labelled "Competitivity centre with a worldwide purpose" on 12 July 2005, the Alsatian centre brings together all the regional players involved in the medical field, both public and private, around one project: developing and marketing therapeutic innovations through a unique synergy of the following three fields of excellence: chemistry, biology and medical technologies.The Alsatian Centre intends to become the first European cluster in the field of therapeutic innovations.
To achieve this objective, it has defined two ambitions with a priority: stating the international excellence of Alsace in the field of therapeutic innovations and being one of the driving forces of the Alsatian economy.
he Centre's mission is to speed up the discovery, development and promotion of therapeutic innovations, to be in a position to face the main challenges of tomorrow's healthcare, namely:
• increasingly complex care: drugs and high-tech devices,
• new therapies combining drugs and technologies,
• personalized medical care.
